Girls of Rodonna
Kisses was a little bit the reluctant show girl the first time out as she lives up to
her name and would rather be with her people on the couch smothering them
with Kisses. She does live up to her name. She made up for the early reluctance
in fine style with her friend Becky taking the time to teach her the ropes and
show her to 8 points.
She finished at the Speciality weekend in June at the NACA shows, with a 5 Best
of Winners award and a five point win with her Aunty Kate.

Zena. is a lively and intelligent puppy, with a mind of her own. She
seems to think she can do everything without help!
She learns quickly and easily from example and has begun her show
dog training in earnest. She has already been to a match with her
siblings.
Zena is enjoying life in her retirement home and says “her life is a ball,

Vegas was “that Special one” from the time she arrived. And that marked
her career all during her life. Finishing quickly and on to Specials
competition she did not once look back. Right on through to her Veterans
portion of her career, she gave it her all for Donna and for her handler
Teresa.
She spent her time with Donna around the house enjoying her retirement.
Vegas always had Donnas heart wound around her paw…and she is sorely
missed.

Our Sammi was always a delightful, curious girl. She was willing to learn
new things, and learned them very quickly. Sammi and Kate shared
many miles and experiences together, well enjoyed by both.
Sammi loved running with the team on long and short trips. She went in
the ring like she owned it and sure enough the judges agreed. She got
her championship in record time with multiple group placings, Best
Puppy in Shows, and Best Juvenile in Show honours. to her credit.
She leaves her legacy in Shufflin the Deck who is going to Southeast Asia
and the young Rollin Snake Eyes whom Kate adores. Both boys just like
their mum finished in a weekend!!

Job well done and very much earned
Devoted to Pure Bred Dogs Since 1967
You were introduced to “Podgy” on the home page. She amassed enough wins
and points to have the honour of becoming the Top Winning Boston Terrier of
all time in 2014.
Show dogs are a combination of factors not the least of which is the
outstanding, long running quality of the Rodonna bloodline that Podgy hails
from. In addition there is the required conditioning that a truly great show dog
requires, the training and bringing up the rear is the handlers duties in
presenting the dog.
And then equally important is the mental attitude of the dog toward the job
they face. That is developed with patience rules and kindness All of which
Podgy learned and developed with gustso.
She truly deserved to be the top ranked Boston Terrier and show dog.

Trouble finished her Championship with Teresa Brererton. Since then she has been enjoying life
at the “Ranch”, with plenty of room to run, lots of fresh air and lazy days outside.
She was bred to Lexus and had 7 puppies, all of whom were healthy and survived.
There were three boys and four girls in the litter. You will see several of them in the ring in
2011.
Three of them have already started their show training!!
This young lady was truly a hidden gem. We laid money on her brother beating
her to the finish line first, but when put in the pack of competitors, she stared
with a Best Puppy in Group and followed it up just a couple of weeks later with
her first 3 point and another Best Puppy In Group.
“A picture is worth a thousand words” and this one says it all!
